Ms. Francesca Hany joined the Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA) in January 2025 as a Legal Researcher in the Dispute Management Department, where she supports the administration of arbitration proceedings under the Centre’s Rules and conducts legal research. She previously trained at CRCICA as an intern in the same department from September to December 2024.

Prior to joining CRCICA, Ms. Hany gained experience at leading law firms and institutions, including Al Tamimi & Company, Cairo, in the Litigation and Arbitration Department; the National Council for Women in Egypt; and the Commercial Chamber of the Court of Appeal of Montpellier.

Ms. Hany holds dual Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degrees from Cairo University and Paris 1 Panthéon‑Sorbonne University (Institut de Droit des Affaires Internationales – IDAI). She pursued her Master’s studies by completing the first year of a Master’s in International and European Business Law at Paris 1 Panthéon‑Sorbonne – IDAI, followed by a Master 2 in International Trade Law at the Faculty of Law, University of Montpellier.
She also obtained postgraduate diplomas in Domestic and International Arbitration Law and in Business Law and Fundamental Rights from the University of Montpellier.

She has undertaken specialized professional training, including the DL‑101 General Course on Intellectual Property offered by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), the PatentX: WIPO–Harvard Law School Joint Certificate Course on Patent Law and Global Public Health, the AfGAC Comparative Arbitration Training for Lawyers and Engineers, the Governance and Anti‑Corruption Training Program at the Egyptian National Anti‑Corruption Academy, and the 12th China‑Africa Legal Professional Exchange Program hosted by the China Law Society, enriching her comparative legal perspective.

Ms. Hany is fluent in Arabic, English, and French.
