Cairo, 30th July 2024 – The Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA) is proud to announce the official launch of the Arbitration Compass, a groundbreaking guide developed by the Africa Arbitration Academy. This comprehensive resource, unveiled today, marks a significant milestone in supporting arbitration practitioners and stakeholders across the African continent.

The Arbitration Compass is the culmination of months of collaborative effort, featuring contributions from over 50 renowned experts. The guide provides an in-depth analysis of arbitration practices in 19 African countries and 8 arbitral institutions, offering invaluable insights into the diverse and evolving arbitration landscape.

Designed to serve as a practical tool for arbitration practitioners, lawyers, business owners, investors, academics, and researchers, the Arbitration Compass addresses the unique challenges and opportunities within Africa’s dynamic jurisdictions. Its publication underscores the Africa Arbitration Academy’s commitment to fostering knowledge-sharing and capacity-building in the field of arbitration.
