Nazek El-Wakeel currently serves as the Acting Head of the Conferences, Training, and External Relations Department at the Cairo Regional Center for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA). With over 22 years of diverse, multidisciplinary professional experience, she brings a wealth of expertise in event management, strategic development, and stakeholder engagement across national, regional, and international landscapes.
Ms. El-Wakeel’s journey began at the renowned Library of Alexandria (BA), where she dedicated over two decades to nurturing a broad and versatile skill set. During her tenure, she orchestrated high-impact conferences, workshops, and initiatives that brought together leaders and professionals from across the globe. Her natural ability to lead teams, build strategic alliances, and secure essential resources led to the successful execution of numerous flagship programs. In these roles, she thrived on collaboration, engaging with key stakeholders to create lasting partnerships that transcended borders and disciplines, leaving a meaningful imprint in each project she undertook.
In addition to her professional achievements, Ms. El-Wakeel has always demonstrated an unwavering commitment to learning and personal growth. She holds an Executive MBA from Alexandria University (2020). Her educational journey began with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Alexandria University, but her thirst for global knowledge took her further. In 2007, she was selected as an International Human Rights Fellow at Johns Hopkins University’s Protection Project, where she immersed herself in global human rights advocacy, organizing pivotal conferences and steering key international initiatives.
Ms. El-Wakeel’s leadership style is characterized by a collaborative, forward-thinking approach that prioritizes innovation and sustainability. She is driven by a passion for fostering creativity and strategic growth within CRCICA, aiming to enhance the Center’s visibility and global presence.
