Nazek El-Wakeel is Head of the Conferences, Training and External Relations Department at the Cairo Regional Center for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA). With more than 25 years of multidisciplinary experience, she combines strategic vision, institutional diplomacy and a distinctive ability to transform ideas into influential platforms for dialogue, learning and international cooperation. At CRCICA, she leads the Center’s conferences, professional training programmes and external-relations initiatives, while shaping strategic partnerships and outreach efforts that enhance its institutional visibility, expand its international reach and reinforce its standing in arbitration and alternative dispute resolution.

Before joining CRCICA, Ms. El-Wakeel spent more than two decades at the renowned Bibliotheca Alexandrina, where she conceived and delivered prominent international conferences, workshops and institutional initiatives that brought together distinguished leaders, experts and professionals from around the world. Her work was distinguished by an exceptional ability to forge lasting alliances, mobilise resources and lead multidisciplinary teams in bringing ambitious programmes to life.

Ms. El-Wakeel holds an Executive MBA from the Faculty of Business, Alexandria University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and the Humanities. In 2007, she was selected as an International Human Rights Fellow with The Protection Project at Johns Hopkins University, where she contributed to international human rights initiatives and conferences.
