As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen regional cooperation in arbitration and legal capacity building, Dr. Ismail Selim, Director of the Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA), carried out an official visit to the Kurdistan Region of Iraq on 1โ€“2 June 2025.

On 1 June, Dr. Selim conducted a specialized workshop in Erbil for senior judges from the Kurdistan Region, organized in collaboration with the Kurdistan Regional Government, particularly the Kurdistan Region Investment Commission. The program also included practical insights and a review of recent developments in comparative arbitration law, while introducing participants to CRCICAโ€™s institutional services and growing regional role.

On 2 June, Dr. Selim paid an official visit to the Kurdistan Region Investment Commission, where he was welcomed by senior officials and given a special tour of the Commissionโ€™s facilities. The visit featured productive discussions on strengthening institutional ties and exploring cooperation in the area of investment-related dispute resolution.

This two-day engagement reflects CRCICAโ€™s continued commitment to advancing legal excellence and fostering meaningful partnerships across the region.
