Advisory Committee Second Quarterly Meeting, 29 March 2018

Chaired by Counsellor Amin ELMAHDI , the AC second quarterly meeting was held on 29 March 2018. Attendees  from Egypt were : Prof. Dr. Ahmed Sadek ELKOSHERI, Judge. Dr. Borhan AMRALLAH, Dr. Karim HAFEZ, and Dr. Mohamed ABDEL RAOUF.  Four other members participated by a multilateral conference call:   Mr. Craig TEVENALE (England), Prof. Nassib ZIADE (Bahrain), Me. Philippe LEBOULANGER (France), and Ms. Samaa HARIDI (USA).  Dr. Ismail Selim, CRCICA Director and Dr. Dalia Hussein, Deputy Director were also in attendance. During the meeting, the AC members discussed a bilingual draft “Statement of Availability” that the arbitrators will be required to sign upon accepting their mission. The AC also approved the reduction of the amount of arbitrators’ fees in two pending arbitral cases where the rendering of the awards was inexcusably delayed. Such measure has positively affected the celerity of arbitration under the CRCICA Rules..  The third 2018 meeting was scheduled for 28 July 2018.
