AfAA Board of Directors Meeting, Kigali, Rwanda: April 2019

In his capacity as member of the Board of Directors of the African Arbitration Association (AfAA), Dr. Ismail Selim, founding member of the AfAA and the sole representative of North Africa in its Board, participated in the AfAA Board meeting held on 2-5 April 2019 in Kigali, Rwanda. The meeting discussed future plans and activities to support and fund the work of AFAA, expanding membership, and the next AfAA Conference. Members also discussed the possibilities for AfAA to obtain the status of observer in various international organizations. During the meeting, Dr. Selim presented the growing caseload of active African arbitral institutions that have modernized rules and efficient functioning. The next AfAA Conference was scheduled to be held in June 2020 in Accra, Ghana
