Arbitration Pledge Recognizes CRCICA and its Director

On 15 May 2020, the Pledge for Equal Representation in Arbitration (“ERA”) recognized CRCICA and its Director Dr. Ismail Selim for being an active member for the Pledge’s recently constituted Africa subcommittee and for “support and continued efforts on diversity”.  Click here for more information about ERA recognition.

The ERA is a global call to action to address the under-representation of women in arbitration. It was drawn up by a coalition of leading members of the international arbitration community. The ERA considers that women should be appointed as arbitrators on an equal opportunity basis, and aims to achieve fair representation as soon as practically possible, with the ultimate goal of full parity.

CRCICA had signed the ERA in 2017, in Abuja and had implemented, accordingly, a gender diversity policy when acting as appointing authority, in addition to its implementation of a regional and age diversity policies.
