CRCICA’s Second “Beyond Arbitration” Lecture Discuses Competition Law and Business Dynamics

The Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA) successfully organised the second lecture of its “Beyond Arbitration” Lecture Series on Monday, 15 June 2026, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the CRCICA premises.

The “Beyond Arbitration” Lecture Series is a premier knowledge initiative designed to explore interdisciplinary subjects that intersect with international dispute resolution and the broader practice of law, business, and finance.

Speakers & Moderation

The highly engaging session featured prominent legal experts from the region:

  • Keynote Speaker: Khaled Attia, FCIArb, Partner and Head of Dispute Resolution – Egypt, Nour & Partners in association with Al Tamimi & Company.
  • Moderator: Amr A. Abbas, Partner, Head of Arbitration and Co-Head of Competition at Matouk Bassiouny & Hennawy.

Key Highlights and Topics Discussed

Entitled “Competition Law In Action: The Interaction Between Law & Business,” the lecture examined the increasingly dynamic relationship between competition law and commercial activity in today’s rapidly evolving business environment.

During the session, the speakers and attendees explored how competition law operates in practice across a wide range of sectors and transactions. Key discussion points included:
