On 3 October 2017, few months after the enactment of the new Egyptian Sports Law no 71 /2017, Dr. Ismail Selim visited the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Geneva, Switzerland where he met Mr. Matthieu Reeb, CAS Secretary General to discuss future relations between the Court and CRCICA as host of the first CAS Alternative Hearing Centre (AHC) in Africa.
It was agreed, in this context, to hold a Cairo Sports Arbitration Week in close collaboration with the CAS. This exclusive week is envisaged to include an international conference, a training for lawyers and another for arbitrators in Sports Disputes as well as a seminar on Sports Mediation which is gaining momentum in the international community. Exact dates will be announced later.
