CRCICA and Ain Shams University signed a Protocol to establish a professional arbitration diploma

In a prestigious ceremony attended by Prof. Dr. Mahmoud EL Metiny, President of Ain Shams University, CRCICA signed a Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) on 4 March 2021 with the Faculty of Law at Ain Shams University. The signing ceremony, which took place at the historical Zaafaran Palace, was worthy the deep rootedness of Ain Shams University and CRCICA. Dr. Ismail Selim signed the MOU on behalf of CRCICA, and Prof. Dr. Nagui Abdel Momen, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, signed on behalf of the Faculty. The signing of the MOU came in implementation of CRCICA’s policy to cooperate with Egyptian Universities to help in the training and capacity building of young legal practitioners and to promote institutional arbitration among the new generations of the Egyptian and Arab legal communities.

The MOU provides for the cooperation between CRCICA and the Faculty of Law to organize two professional Diplomas in arbitration recognized by the Egyptian Supreme Council of Universities. The Diplomas include compulsory courses and workshops on the Arbitration Agreement, Arbitration Proceedings, Arbitral Award and the Relationship between Arbitration and State Courts. Elective courses include: Introduction to Mediation and ADR, Introduction to Construction Arbitration, Introduction to Sports Arbitration and Introduction to Investment Arbitration. Courses and workshops are expected to be delivered at both the Faculty and CRCICA premises.
