CRCICA contributes to the Newsletter of the French Ministry of Economy, Finance, and Economic Recovery

Dr. Ismail Selim, Director of the Cairo Regional Centre For International Commercial Arbitration – CRCICA, contributed to the “Economic Letter from Egypt” issued by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance, and Economic Recovery for the month of October 2021. The article comprises an overview of CRCICA’s advantages and recent developments such as the adoption of Dispute Board Rules in August 2021. Dr. Selim highlighted a crucial element for foreign investors, especially in the cases where Egypt or one of its public entities is a party, namely the neutrality of the arbitral institution. Dr. Selim elaborated on how this neutrality is guaranteed whether the chosen seat of arbitration is Paris, Cairo, or any other city.
