Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Wahab C.Arb, FCIArb and Noha Khaled report on the new The Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA) rules, now also available in French, in addition to English and Arabic. The new rules include provisions addressing, among other things, consolidation; multiparty and multiple contracts arbitrations; third-party funding; and emergency arbitrator and expedited procedures. The new rules also anticipate the possibility of holding hearings remotely or in hybrid form, by videoconference or other appropriate means.
