CRCICA Signs a Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) regarding the re-establishment of a branch of the Centre in Alexandria

On 5 April 2021, CRCICA signed with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport and the Egyptian Chamber of Commerce in Alexandria a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) providing for the re-establishment of CRCICA in Alexandria.

The MOU was signed by Dr. Ismail Selim, Director of CRCICA, Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, and Mr. Ahmed El Wakeel, President of the Egyptian Chamber of Commerce in Alexandria. The signing of the MOU paves the way to the making of a detailed agreement to implement the MOU’s terms.

The objectives of the branch reestablishment are managing cases to be filed in Alexandria under the CRCICA Arbitration Rules, disseminating institutional arbitration awareness among the business and legal communities in Alexandria, and holding conferences and training courses in the fields of commercial and maritime arbitration and other ADR mechanisms in Alexandria.
