November 2025, Kuwait – As part of CRCICA’s ongoing outreach, Prof. Dr. Ismail Selim, Director of the Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA) visited the State of Kuwait. This extensive regional outreach initiative aimed at promoting CRCICA’s services, diverse and growing caseload in 2025, expanding its presence in the Arab region, and strengthening institutional cooperation. Throughout this visit, Prof. Dr. Selim met with several leading law firms and arbitration stakeholders to introduce CRCICA’s latest developments, discuss potential collaborations, and explore opportunities for deeper engagement with the Kuwaiti legal and business community.
During his visit, Dr. Selim met with ASAR – Al Ruwayeh & Partners, where CRCICA expresses its sincere appreciation to Dr. Ahmed Barakat, Partner at ASAR and esteemed Member of CRCICA’s Board of Trustees, for his warm welcome and generous support. Dr. Barakat’s role in facilitating dialogue and promoting CRCICA’s work within Kuwait’s legal sector is deeply valued.
Dr. Selim also held productive meetings with YFLG – Al-Yaqout & Al-Fouzan Legal Group, engaging in constructive discussions on enhancing cooperation, sharing expertise, and fostering training opportunities. Further, his visit to Meysan Partners provided a platform to explore avenues for collaboration in the fields of commercial arbitration, capacity building, and institutional partnerships.
In addition, Dr. Selim visited the Kuwait Commercial Arbitration Centre, where the exchange focused on shared objectives, comparative institutional experience, and the potential for joint initiatives aimed at advancing arbitration practice across the region.
This visit underscores CRCICA’s commitment to expanding its regional footprint and strengthening relationships with key legal institutions throughout the Arab region.
