KIAC 10th Anniversary Conference on the Impact of Institutional Arbitration in African Development, Kigali

On 29-30 September 2022, CRCICA’s Director, Dr. Ismail Selim represented CRCICA as a speaker at the 10^th Anniversary of the Kigali International Arbitration Centre (KIAC), Kigali, Rwanda.  The event was celebrated through the Conference on “The Impact of Institutional Arbitration in African Development – Celebrating the Delivery of Modern Case Management to the African Continent”.  Dr. Selim alongside Prof. Emilia Onyema, Professor of International Commercial Law at SOAS University of London and Member of CRCICA’s Advisory Committee, spoke on the subject of “The Battle of Titans: Enforcing an Arbitral Award Set Aside at the Seat”.  The presentation of Dr. Selim focused on CRCICA’s background, recognitions, advantages of arbitration under its rules and CRCICA’s contribution to promoting arbitration in Africa. CRCICA was a strategic partner of the KIAC 10th Anniversary Conference.
