On 21 April 2019, CRCICA Advisory Committee (AC) held its second quarterly meeting. The meeting was chaired by Counselor Amin ELMAHDI and was attended by Counsellor Dr. Borhan AMRALLAH, Dr. Ismail SELIM, Prof. Dr. Mohamed ABDEL RAOUF, and Prof. Dr. Mohamed S. ABDEL WAHAB. Five members participated by a conference call: Mr. Ahmed OUERFELLI, Dr. Karim YOUSSEF, Professor Nassib ZIADE, Ms. Rabab YASSEEN, and Ms. Samaa HARIDI. In representation of CRCICA, Dr. Dalia Hussein, Deputy Director attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the chairman announced the resignation of Professor Borham Attallah resigned from his post as member of the Committee. His resignation was accepted and the members recognized Professor Attallah’s efforts and valuable contributions to the works of the Committee. Members also discussed and agreed to add a paragraph to CRCICA Practice Notes to ensure the application of the Schedule of Arbitration costs in force on the date where the case was brought, even if earlier rules were applicable to that case. Members also approved the suggested amendments to the By-laws of the Advisory Committee, to ensure the efficiency and continuity of its works. The third 2019 meeting was scheduled for 22 July 2019.
