Celebrating 25 years of Ciarb Egypt Branch.
On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Ciarb Egypt Branch, We express our gratitude to the dedicated efforts of the Egypt Branch founders, including Mr. Taher Hozayen, Coun. Judge Mohamed Aboul Enein, Prof. Dr. Nael Bunni, Mr. Norman Mururu, and Mrs. Wissam El Molla, who worked tirelessly about a decade before the establishment of the branch on 5 February 1999. Thanks to these key individuals, Ciarb ADR education and services were established and recognized in Egypt and the MENA region 25 years ago.
Mr. Taher Hozayen, the Egypt Branch’s Patron, holds the record as the longest-serving Branch Chairman and is also the first Egyptian Fellow of the Institute
The late Judge Dr. Mohamed Aboul Enein, the inaugural elected Chairman of the Branch and former CRCICA Director, played a key role in pioneering the establishment and hosting of the “Cairo Branch” at CRCICA. This initiative marked the first gateway to Ciarb education in the region under his dedicated leadership.
Prof. Dr. Nael G. Bunni, Former President of Ciarb and past Chairman of the Irish Branch, played a pivotal role in declaring the establishment of the “Cairo Branch” of the Ciarb on 5 February 1999, marking it as the first-ever Ciarb Branch in the region.
Mr. Norman Mururu, the former Chairman of the Kenyan Branch, collaborated with CRCICA and Ciarb to deliver international arbitration training to practitioners in Egypt and the surrounding region.
The late Mrs. Wissam El Molla, Associate Director at CRCICA and Honorary Secretary of the Branch, played a pivotal role in steering its achievements for over two decades. During this period, she contributed significantly to the organization of hundreds of events and numerous training programs that qualified both lawyers and non-lawyers for Ciarb membership. These training sessions drew participants from various Arab countries, and many of them have since become prominent leaders in the field of arbitration in the region.
