UNCITRAL’s Discussions on Iraqi Arbitration Law in Abu Dhabi, together with ADGM and CLDP

From 3 to 5 March 2023, Dr Ismail Selim, Director of CRCICA attended several meetings that encompassed in-depth discussions and exchange of views on the drafting of the new Iraqi Commercial and Arbitration Law, together with representatives from UNCITRAL and the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) of the Office of General Counsel of the United States Department of Commerce, in the presence and participation of Iraqi judges, scholars, representatives, and officials of the government as well as arbitration experts. Discussions were held at the International Financial Centre of Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM).
