CRCICA Successfully Concludes Online Mediation Training Course

Cairo, Saturday, 27 September 2025 — The Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA) is proud to announce the successful conclusion of its online Mediation Training Course under the title “Mediation Skills Development Programme – Preparing the Mediator.” This intensive programme was delivered by distinguished trainers Ms. Fatma Ibrahim and Mr. Fehme Karame, who shared their expertise in equipping participants with the practical and professional skills needed to conduct effective mediation. The training combined interactive lectures with hands-on exercises, negotiation techniques, and simulated mediation sessions designed to build real-world capacity. The course was further enriched by the invaluable support of esteemed mediation coaches and assessor:

CRCICA Completes Online Training Course: Mediation, Level One: Mediation Basics

The Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA) successfully conducted its online training course, Mediation, Level One: Mediation Basics (in Arabic), from 29 to 31 July 2024. The course aimed to equip participants with foundational knowledge and practical skills in mediation, emphasizing its role in resolving disputes effectively and amicably. The training was led by two distinguished experts in the field:
  • Ms. Fatma Ibrahim (Egypt), a seasoned Mediator, Mediation Specialist, and Trainer on Mediation.
  • Mr. Fehmi Karami (Lebanon), an accomplished Mediator, International Arbitrator, and Trainer on Mediation.
The course covered essential topics such as the principles of mediation, the mediation process, and the role of the mediator, providing participants with a comprehensive understanding of mediation basics. The interactive sessions allowed attendees to engage in practical exercises, enhancing their skills and confidence in mediation techniques. This course marks the first level of CRCICA’s mediation training program, with advanced levels to follow. CRCICA remains committed to promoting alternative dispute resolution (ADR) mechanisms and building capacity in the region through specialized training programs. Africa Arbitration Academy Training 2022, London

Dr. Dalia Hussein, Deputy Director of CRCICA, lectured at the Africa Arbitration Academy Flagship Training Programme held during 6-24 June 2022.  The event was organized by the Africa Arbitration Academy in London and hosted by 14 city law firms. The lecture was titled “Arbitration under the CRCICA Rules: Introduction and Case Studies” and included role-plays based on real cases filed before the CRCICA.

One Year of Training at CRCICA

CRCICA was pleased to highlight the solid training performance, reflecting back upon a year of training at CRCICA as per the recommendation of its BoT to increase the number training courses provided by CRCICA. One of CRCICA’s aims during 2022 was the community’s growth through improving the level of awareness of the ADR methods to settle disputes, while still focusing on our arbitration practice. Moreover enhancing the skills in different areas of expertise and motivating our participants, who chose to be trained by CRCICA, in performing with efficiency, reaching higher levels of performance and maintaining successful professional development through the planning, organizing, and hosting of some significant trainings that built the blocks in place. Management Training Program in Partnership with GIZ

CRCICA successfully completed the Third & last round of the "Contract Management Training Program" held in partnership with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) held on 21 December 2022, under the auspices of the Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities for 26 of the selected professionals from the Holding company for Water and Wastewater “HCWW” and its Affiliate Companies “ACs”. Following the training, CRCICA & GIZ held a closing Ceremony to express their gratitude to the Experts whom substantially contributed -with their extensive expertise- to the quality and effectiveness of the program. Dr. Ismail Selim, Mr. Khalil Shaat, Counselor Hany Georgy, Counselor Ahmed Saad Hagras, Dr. Hossam Lotfy, Dr. Ahmed Waly,  Mr. Atter Hannoura, Mr. Mohamed Khodeir & Mr. Yasser Mansour.
