First introduced during the MediMonday Inaugural Lecture on April 6, 2026, this initiative is part of CRCICA’s broader mandate to promote alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and build capacity across the Arab region and beyond.

The competition aims to stimulate high-quality legal research, foster critical thinking, and engage both young practitioners and academics in advancing mediation practices. Research papers are welcome from legal and ADR practitioners, as well as postgraduate students (LL.M. and PhD candidates).

Key Competition Details:

  • Submission Deadline: July 31, 2026
  • Languages: Arabic or English
  • Format: Submissions can be individual or co-authored by a maximum of two contributors.
  • Core Topics: Research must focus on contemporary challenges and developments in mediation, including the recognition of international settlement agreements under the Singapore Convention on Mediation.

Submissions will be evaluated by an esteemed panel of experts based on originality, depth of legal analysis, and practical applicability to real-world dispute resolution.
