CRCICA and the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce (HK) on Opportunities and Risks for German Companies of Arbitration in Africa

The Hamburg Chamber of Commerce (HK) hosted a conference on 15 February 2023 on the subject of “Arbitration in Africa – Opportunities and Risks for German Companies”, where Dr Ismail Selim, Director, introduced the Centre’s role and services, highlighting the role that initiatives, and the participation and representation of African institutions, can play in contributing to enhancing Africa-based practice and resolution of international disputes involving European-based and originating actors. Discussions, revolving around possible cooperation with arbitration institutions in Africa took place, mentioning notably the possible establishment of a cooperative network together with HK.
