2nd IBA Arab Regional Conference

On 4-5 November 2018, Dr. Dalia Hussein, CRCICA’s Deputy Director, represented CRCICA at the 2nd Arab Regional Conference organized by the IBA Arab Regional Forum. Dr. Hussein spoke at the session titled “How does law support investment?” She examined the impact of dispute settlement provisions in BITs and investment legislations on the flow of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). She also discussed the role of neutral and independent arbitration institutions in supporting and attracting investments, highlighting the dispute settlement mechanisms provided for in the 2018 Egyptian Investment Law.
