The sixth edition of the AlexU-CRCICA Vis Pre-Moot series concluded successfully, providing a valuable platform for aspiring international arbitration lawyers to hone their skills. Held from March 15th to 17th, 2025, at the GrEEK CAMPUS, the event served as the sole sponsored pre-moot for the prestigious Vis Moot in Africa and the Middle East.
Organized under the auspices of Alexandria University and the Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA), the pre-moot continued its tradition of fostering the spirit and goals of the Vis Moot, offering participants the opportunity to present their arguments before seasoned experts in the field.
The event attracted 10 teams from across the region, all eager to refine their advocacy skills and prepare for the ultimate challenge in Vienna.
After a series of rigorous rounds, two teams emerged as finalists: Cairo University and the University of Jordan. Both teams showcased exceptional performances, demonstrating their mastery of international arbitration principles and their ability to construct compelling arguments.
The competition culminated in a thrilling final round, where the University of Jordan emerged victorious. Their dedication, hard work, and exceptional advocacy skills earned them the top prize. A heartfelt congratulations was extended to the team for their outstanding achievement.
The organizers also acknowledged the remarkable performance of Cairo University in the finals, as well as the incredible efforts of all participating teams throughout the competition.
