On 22 November 2023, the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC) and CRCICA jointly organized the event on CIETAC – CRCICA Respective 2024 Arbitration Rules & Arbitration in the Context of BRI. Arbitration practitioners from China and Egypt provided an overview of the new CIETAC-CRCICA respective 2024 arbitration rules, the new trends in the rules of arbitration institutions and their relevance to construction arbitration, and arbitration in the context of the Belt and Road Initiative. The event was well attended by participates with diverse backgrounds and expertise from China, Egypt, France, Sudan, Sweden, Tunisia, and Yemen.
