Navigating a Changing Landscape: CRCICA Shares Insights at The Arbitral Institutions Congress 2026

The historic Middle Temple Hall in London set a magnificent backdrop yesterday for a critical gathering of the world’s legal and arbitration minds. On June 3, 2026, the Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA) participated in the Arbitral Institutions Congress 2026 (AIC26), held on 3 June 2026 as part of London International Disputes Week (LIDW). The Congress brought together senior representatives of leading arbitral institutions from around the world to discuss evolving dynamics of international dispute resolution.

CRCICA took center stage during Session 3 of the Congress, which directly tackled the complex thematic pillars of “Responses to Challenges, Formalism, and Geopolitics.” This high-level institutional dialogue was moderated by Loukas Mistelis of Clyde & Co and brought together a distinguished panel of experts to discuss how modern arbitral centers are adapting to an increasingly fragmented and complex global landscape.

Representing CRCICA on the panel was Senior Case Manager Ms. Nouran Salama (MCIArb). Speaking alongside esteemed peers from other top-tier institutions—including Colleen Parker Bacquet of the ICC, Prof. Seung Wha Chang of the KCAB, Fabricio Fortese of the LCIA, Caroline Falconer of the SCC, and Christian Alberti of the SCCA—Ms. Salama contributed vital perspectives on managing institutional disputes amidst geopolitical shifts and structural challenges. The panel collectively explored the delicate balance between maintaining procedural formalism and ensuring flexibility, highlighting how leading centers are safeguarding the integrity and efficacy of international arbitration in volatile times.

The session underscored the vital role that cross-border institutional cooperation plays in fostering commercial confidence worldwide. By exchanging strategic insights with counterparts from Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, CRCICA reinforced its ongoing commitment to providing resilient, adaptive, and world-class dispute resolution services.

As London International Disputes Week continues, the discussions from AIC26 resonate as a testament to the arbitration community’s collective resolve to innovate and withstand global pressures. CRCICA extends its gratitude to the co-panelists, organizers, and attendees who made this high-level dialogue a resounding success, shaping the trajectory of international justice for years to come.
