CRCICA Board of Trustees Meeting

On 27 November 2019, the CRCICA Board of Trustees (BOT) held its annual meeting at CRCICA’s premises. The meeting was presided by Dr. Nabil ELARABY (Chairman) and attended by Dr. Adel KOURA (Egypt), H.H. Prince Dr. Bandar Ben Salman AL-SAUD (Vice-Chairman) (KSA), Prof. Bernardo M. CREMADES (Spain), Prof. Dr. Fathi WALY (Egypt), Prof. Dr. Hani SARIE ELDIN (Egypt), Sheikha Haya Rashed AL KHALIFA (Bahrain), Mr. Michael SCHNEIDER (Germany), Prof. Dr. Mohamed ABDEL RAOUF (Egypt), Prof. Nassib ZIADÉ (Chile – Lebanon), Dr. Nayla Comair OBEID (Lebanon). In representation of CRCICA, Dr. Ismail Selim, Director and Dr. Dalia Hussein, Deputy Director attended the meeting.

Upon the passing away of the BOT Vice-Chairman, Counselor Mohamed Amin El Mahdy, the BOT elected Prof. Dr. Fathi WALY, Former Dean of Faculty of Law, Vice- President of Cairo University, and Former Head of the Civil Procedure Department to be the BOT Vice-Chairman until the end of this mandate.

Judge. Dr. Borhan AMRALLAH, Secretary-General of the Arab Union of International Arbitration (AUIA), Former President of the Cairo Court of Appeal, Chairman of CRCICA’s Advisory Committee, and Counsellor Mahmoud FAHMY, Former Vice President of the Council of State, Former Chairman of the Capital Market & Investment Authorities, Attorney at Law & Legal Advisor, Arbitrator, and Corporate & Investment Expert were appointed as members of the BOT.

CRCICA is proud to have such eminent experts as members of its Board and trusts that they will enhance CRCICA’s role in the development of international commercial arbitration.

During the meeting, CRCICA Director presented to the BOT the Centre’s activities and caseload in 2018-2019, the administrative and managerial developments in 2019 as well as excerpts of its audited financial statement of operations for the year ending on 31 December 2018.
