On 7 March 2023, CRCICA and Jus Mundi announced their Partnership Agreement in a press release. The agreement is a unique partnership for the exclusive publication of selected CRCICA arbitral awards, raising awareness and enhancing general public access to arbitral awards originating from CRCICA, the oldest arbitral institution in the Middle-East and Africa. Whilst ensuring the continued confidentiality of its awards through a process of anonymisation, CRCICA has been publishing its awards regularly, providing guidance to users in the application of its arbitration rules, and aiming to foster the development of soft law, based on arbitral precedents that enshrine legal principles, within the arbitration community.
Jean-Rémi de Maistre, CEO of Jus Mundi, considers this exclusive partnership as one that can inspire greater confidence in the resolution of business disputes with enhanced certainty, and one that, while maintaining the paramount confidentiality of materials, can bring greater transparency for the good of all.
Another agreement with the Institute for Transnational Arbitration (ITA) is in underway, and is expected for official announcement along the course of June 2023. A list of CRCICA’s published awards is available here.
