CRCICA supported and sponsored the 29th Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot held during 8-14 April 2022. The moot was conducted virtually due to the Covid-19 pandemic. However, the moot included some social bubbles (meeting places for local teams, coaches and arbitrators) to give the opportunity for people to meet in smaller groups for social activities and networking considering travel restrictions and capacity restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The moot was a success as many students were already familiar with online learning which made it easier for them to perform in a virtual moot. The numerous pre-moots which happened also virtually, provided a good practice for teams and arbitrators a like.
The Vis Moot was organized by Association for the Organisation and Promotion of the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot and Eighteenth Annual Willem C. Vis (East) International Commercial Arbitration Moot Hong Kong. The case was arbitrated under the Asian International Arbitration Centre Rules. The winning team was Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski. For more information about the moot problem and results, please click here
