CRCICA Welcomes H.E. Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Egypt

25 June 2025 – Cairo, Egypt

The Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA) had the honour of welcoming Her Excellency Ms. Lenka Miháliková, Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to the Arab Republic of Egypt, on an official visit to the Centre. Her Excellency was accompanied by Mr. Miroslav Ondrej, Commercial Counsellor at the Slovak Embassy in Cairo.

The distinguished delegation was received by Dr. Ismail Selim, Director of CRCICA, who delivered a comprehensive presentation highlighting the Centre’s institutional framework, international standing, and its pivotal role in the development and promotion of arbitration and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) in the Arab region, Africa and beyond.

The visit featured an engaging and insightful discussion covering a broad range of topics, including the legal and institutional framework of arbitration in Egypt, CRCICA’s caseload and rules, and its contribution to legal capacity-building and regional judicial dialogue. The conversation also explored avenues for cooperation between CRCICA and Slovak legal, commercial, and academic institutions, particularly in the context of expanding commercial ties between Egypt and the Slovak Republic.

Following the meeting, Ambassador Miháliková and Mr. Ondrej were given a guided tour of CRCICA’s premises, including its modern hearing rooms, conference facilities, and historical premises overlooking the Nile.

CRCICA is proud to have hosted such a high-level diplomatic visit and looks forward to continued collaboration with the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Cairo, and to fostering stronger ties that would reflect on the arbitration and business communities.
