During the Dubai Arbitration Week (DAW) which was held between 13-17 November 2023, CRCICA held a special event on 16 November 2023. During CRCICA’s DAW Event, Dr. Ismail Selim, CRCICA’s Director, delivered the opening speech providing an Overview on CRCICA and its latest developments with a special focus on the New CRCICA Arbitration Rules 2024, which will enter into force in January 2024. Distinguished members of CRCICA’s Advisory Committee and Board of Trustees spoke, the event including; Mr. Michael Schneider, Prof. Dr. Mohamed S. Abdel Wahab, and Prof. Dr. Nayla Comair-Obeid were the panelists in the first session titled “The Challenges Faced and the Innovations Introduced in the New CRCICA Arbitration Rules 2024”.
A second session titled “Discussion on the Documentary & Closing Remarks” which included Mr. Ahmed Ibrahim (Independent Arbitrator, Ibrahim ADR & Member of CRCICA Advisory Committee), Mr. Essam Al Tamimi (Chairman of Al Tamimi & Company) and Judge Nabil Omran (Presiding Judge, Fourth Commercial Chamber, Dubai Court of Cassation). This was finally followed by the screening of CRCICA’s documentary “Between North and South” on 16 November 2023.
