The Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA) successfully organized a lecture on Sunday, 29 March 2026, titled “Sovereignty Without Isolation: Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL), Data Flows, and the New Architecture of Commercial Disputes,” further expanding its portfolio of forward-looking, practice-oriented initiatives.
The lecture was delivered by Mr. Mohamed El Nawawy—lawyer, engineer, entrepreneur, and corporate executive—and attracted a diverse and distinguished audience of legal practitioners, in-house counsel, academics, and professionals from various sectors.
Addressing one of the most dynamic and evolving areas of law, the lecture explored the transformative impact of personal data protection frameworks on digital business models, cross-border data flows, and dispute resolution. It offered a comprehensive and nuanced perspective on the intersection between regulatory compliance and commercial practice, with particular emphasis on Egypt’s Personal Data Protection Law and its Executive Regulations, alongside comparative international approaches.
