DIFC Court

On 6 February 2020, Dr. Selim introduced CRCICA to the judges of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). Discussions involved CRCICA’s adoption of the UNCITRAL Rules with minor modifications and the possibility of agreeing on the CRCICA’s Rules while choosing DIFC as the seat of arbitration. The meeting was attended by H.E. Justice Shamlan Al Sawalehi, Chief Justice in Charge of the Arbitration Division, DIFC. The DIFC is the financial free zone offering an independent legal and regulatory framework in order to create an environment for growth, progress and economic development in the UAE and the wider region.
