Dr. Dalia Hussein Honoured by the Faculty of Law, Cairo University

The Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA) extends its warmest congratulations to its Director Dr. Dalia Hussein on the occasion of her being honoured by the Faculty of Law at the Cairo University in recognition of her appointment as the first woman to serve as Director of the Centre since its establishment. Dr. Hussein was honoured alongside a distinguished group of the Faculty’s alumni whose outstanding achievements have made significant contributions to the advancement of justice and the rule of law.

The recognition was conferred during a ceremony organised by the Faculty of Law, Cairo University, under the patronage and in the presence of Professor Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadek, President of Cairo University, and Professor Mohamed Sameh Amr, Dean of the Faculty of Law, together with a distinguished gathering of eminent members of the judiciary, legal practitioners, and academics. The ceremony also recognised prominent judicial figures, leading legal scholars, pioneering women in the judiciary, the top graduates of the Class of 2025, and recipients of doctoral, master’s, and diploma degrees.

This distinguished recognition reflects the high esteem accorded to Dr. Dalia Hussein’s exemplary professional career and her significant contributions to the field of international commercial arbitration. It also acknowledges her leadership in further strengthening the position of the Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration as one of the leading institutions in dispute resolution and the promotion of arbitration, both regionally and internationally.
