CRCICA Director Participates in Francarbi’s 30th Anniversary Celebration on “Cultural Differences in International Arbitration”

On 7 June 2024, Francarbi celebrated its 30th anniversary, marking three decades of dedication to international arbitration with a special event centered around the theme “Cultural Differences in International Arbitration.” As a member of the Board of Directors of Francarbi, Dr. Ismail Selim, Director of CRCICA, had the honor of contributing to this milestone occasion, which brought together leading arbitration professionals and academics to explore the impact of cultural diversity on arbitration proceedings.

The discussions focused on how cultural conflicts influence the resolution of international arbitration disputes, moving beyond legal divergences to examine genuine cultural differences that shape arbitral procedures, tribunal dynamics, and decision-making. Speakers reflected on various approaches to addressing cultural influences at every stage of arbitration, offering valuable insights into fostering greater understanding, fairness, and procedural efficiency in cross-border disputes.

This event served as a remarkable platform for thought-provoking dialogue, reaffirming the importance of cultural awareness in international arbitration.
