IFCAI General Assembly in Vienna 2024

Vienna, 25 March 2024 – Dr. Ismail Selim, President of the International Federation of Commercial Arbitration Institutions (IFCAI) and Director of The Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA), participated in the IFCAI General Assembly held in Vienna on 25 March 2024.

The General Assembly brought together leaders and representatives of global arbitration institutions to discuss key developments and future strategies in international commercial arbitration. As President of IFCAI, Dr. Selim played a central role in the discussions, reaffirming his commitment to strengthening cooperation among arbitration institutions worldwide.

During the assembly, participants addressed pressing issues in the field, including innovations in dispute resolution, harmonization of arbitration practices, and the impact of emerging technologies on arbitration proceedings. Dr. Selim emphasized the significance of institutional collaboration in fostering efficiency and credibility in international arbitration.

As Director of CRCICA, Dr. Selim also highlighted the Centre’s ongoing contributions to regional and global arbitration initiatives, reinforcing CRCICA’s role as a leading arbitral institution in Africa and the Middle East.

The IFCAI General Assembly continues to serve as a vital platform for advancing best practices in arbitration and enhancing the international dispute resolution landscape.
