Reaching out to academia overseas, Sorbonne Law School, France, March 2018

On 9-12 March 2018, Dr. Ismail Selim lectured at the Comparative International Arbitration Course, LL.M. Business Law – Arab World and Middle East Program, Sorbonne Law School.  The LL.M. program in Business Law is an unprecedented program designed for law students from all over the world to expand their legal education to deal with the legal issues of the present world and to face many challenges in a fiercely competitive national and international environment.

Dr. Selim’s lectures unfolded a comparative approach of Arab arbitration laws , focusing on dispute settlement mechanism under CRCICA Rules as compared to other major arbitral institutions.  Students, who were from Afghanistan, Algeria, Comoros, Egypt, France, Morocco, and Romania, raised interesting questions and revealed in-depth understanding of the comparison involved.
