CRCICA Represented in SOAS Webinar on Judicial Mediation in the Arab World

CRCICA was honored to be represented in the webinar titled “Judicial Mediation in the Arab World,” hosted by the SOAS Arbitration and Dispute Resolution Centre (SADRC) on 27 February 2024. The event featured the esteemed contribution of Ms. Fatma Ibrahim, CRCICA’s Mediation Special Advisor, who shared her expertise on mediation and judicial dispute resolution.

Ms. Ibrahim delivered an insightful and thought-provoking session, offering a comparative analysis of judicial mediation trends across the Arab world. Drawing from her extensive experience, she examined the evolution of judicial mediation in the MENA region, shedding light on key procedural developments, challenges, and emerging best practices that are shaping the future of alternative dispute resolution (ADR) in the region.

Her intervention provided valuable institutional and practical perspectives, reinforcing CRCICA’s dedication to advancing mediation as a pivotal dispute resolution tool in judicial settings. The discussion underscored the growing role of mediation in fostering efficient, fair, and accessible dispute resolution frameworks across Arab jurisdictions.

The session was moderated by Arti Goel and organized under the auspices of the SADRC Management Committee, which includes Emilia Onyema, Steven Finizio, Baiju Vasani, Hussein Haeri, Ian Edge, Hiro Aragaki, Michael Bartlet, Prof. Martin Lau, Hana Imai, Arti Goel, Shreya Satheesh, and Monika Dwivedi.
