The Electronic System of the Egyptian Tax Authority (Invoices & Declarations)

On 25 November 2020, CRCICA hosted the Forum on “The Electronic System of the Egyptian Tax Authority (Invoices & Declarations)” organized by the Canada Egypt Business Council and the Egyptian Business Council for International Cooperation. The event was held within the context of the steps taken by the Egyptian Ministry of Finance to modernize and mechanize the tax system, in order to simplify taxation processes and use the electronic bill, in a move to facilitate measures, stimulate the investment environment and create more jobs. As the system is nearing completion, the event addressed some challenges that the companies and the business community may face in implementing these requirements.
The Forum was moderated by Mr. Khaled Abu Zahra, Egypt Tax Partner & GCC Tax Leader – MEC, and Chairman of the Taxation and Customs Committee – CEBC & ECIC.
