On 23 March 2019, CRCICA’s Director participated as Chairperson and speaker at the 4th Annual Legal Web Conference on “Role of the Legal Society in Attracting Foreign Direct Investment (FDIs)” organized by Reliable Integrated Sustainable Solutions Company (R.I.S2.C). The event contributes in expanding the communication between legal practitioners from different generations, and bringing them together to discuss and share knowledge.
Dr. Selim was a moderator and speaker at the third Panel on: “The Role of Arbitration in attracting FDIs”. The speech focused on recent studies showing that adopting friendly international commercial arbitration legislations leads to an increase in FDI flows, especially major projects.
Dr. Selim also delivered jointly with Mr. Yasser Mansour, attorney at Law and principal, Mansour Law Office, a session on Drafting of Arbitration Clauses at the Arbitration workshop attended by law students and junior lawyers.
The event included other workshops which discussed vital topics, including, for instance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, IP and trademarks, sports law, and Arbitration, the latter being powered by CRCICA.
