Dr. Ismail Selim, President of the Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration (CRCICA) and the International Federation of Commercial Arbitration Institutions (IFCAI), recently attended and delivered remarks at the opening ceremony of the International Forum on the Belt and Road Legal Services held on March 30th, 2025, in Xiamen, China.
The prestigious event brought together prominent figures in international law and dispute resolution. In addition to Dr. Selim, the opening ceremony featured insightful remarks from esteemed Chinese officials including Mr. Chen Wenqing, Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Secretary of the Commission for Political and Legal Affairs of the CPC Central Committee; Ms. Wang Binying, Deputy Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO); Mr. Zhou Zuyi, Secretary of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee, the People’s Republic of China; and Ms. He Rong, Minister of Justice of the People’s Republic of China. The ceremony was hosted by Mr. Wang Zhenjiang, Vice Minister of Justice of the People’s Republic of China.
Dr. Selim’s participation underscores commitment to engaging in international dialogues and contributing to the development of legal frameworks supporting global initiatives like the Belt and Road. His remarks at the forum highlighted the importance of effective dispute resolution mechanisms in facilitating international trade and investment within the Belt and Road framework.
