GIZ Workshop on: “Contract Administration Training Program”

CRCICA successfully held a strategic partnership with the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and co-organized the “Contract Administration Training Program” that generated an incomparable experience and remarkable outcome. The aim of the cooperation was developing legal and contract management skills of the employees of the Holding Company for Water and Waste Water. Under the sponsorship of the Ministry of Housing Utilities and Urban Communities, through conducting a 3 round training program, titled “Contract Administration Training Program”.

“Once the contract is awarded and signed between the parties, it is important to ensure that the contracted works need to be delivered for its intended purpose” said Dr. Selim in his welcome speech of the program”.

From here comes the objective of the workshop, where the contract administration comes into place to monitor the contracted works or services that must be effectively delivered.

The 1st round was conducted in January 2021 while the 2nd and 3rd rounds took place in March 2021.

The Training was conducted by 8 different distinguished and significant instructors, namely: Dr. Ismail Selim, Director of CRCICA and Vice-Chairman of the Egypt Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb); Mr. Yasser Mansour, registered lawyer before the Court of Cassation, Partner and Director of Mansour Law Firm; Prof. Dr. Mohammed Hossam Lotfi, Professor of Civil Law, Faculty of Law, Beni Suef University, UNESCO Chair Professor of Copyright in Egypt and registered lawyer before the Court of Cassation; Prof. Dr. Mohammed Shokry Serour, Professor of Civil Law, Faculty of Law,Cairo University; Counselor Ahmed Saad Hagras, Vice President of the State Council, Egypt; Mr. Khalil Shaat, Senior Policy Advisor, Employment Promotion Project (EPP III) Water and Wastewater Management Project (WWMP), Participatory Infra Structure Project (PIP) and; last but not least, Ms. Fatma Ibrahim, Mediation Consultant at CRCICA.
