Dr. Selim represented CRCICA at the Hamburg International Arbitration Days organized by the German Institute of Arbitration held during 2-7 April 2022. Dr. Selim spoke on 5 April 2022, on the event titled “International Arbitration in Africa”. The event addressed arbitration as the premier option of dispute resolution in business contracts with African partners and the progressing role of the African arbitration institutions on one hand and Africa as an attractive market for German companies on the other hand.
Dr. Selim’s presentation focused on Case Law of Challenges against Arbitrators under the Rules of the CRCICA. Prof. Emilia Onyema, Professor of International Commercial Law at SOAS University of London and Member of CRCICA’s Advisory Committee, approached the Modern Perspectives on Arbitration in Africa.
