On 21 January 2024, CRCICA participated in an insightful online session organized by ACT Dispute Resolution, titled “Discussing the Arbitration Rules Issued by the Cairo Regional Centre for International Commercial Arbitration for the Year 2024.”

Dr. Mohamed Hafez, CRCICA’s Associate Director for Legal Affairs, introduced the newly issued CRCICA Arbitration Rules 2024, offering an in-depth analysis of the most significant amendments. The discussion covered key developments, including consolidation of arbitrations, early dismissal of claims, emergency arbitrator provisions, expedited arbitration rules, multiple contracts, and third-party funding.

This session provided a valuable opportunity for practitioners, arbitrators, and legal professionals to gain insights into CRCICA’s modernized arbitration framework, which aligns with international best practices and enhances the efficiency and flexibility of arbitration proceedings.

CRCICA remains committed to engaging with the arbitration community through discussions and knowledge-sharing initiatives that promote the advancement of dispute resolution practices in Egypt and beyond. We extend our appreciation to ACT Dispute Resolution for hosting this session and look forward to continued collaboration in fostering excellence in arbitration.
